Starting November 1st we will have a no complain zone at CrossFit Bluegrass! We will have blue and green bands at the gym (free to take home) that every coach and athlete should wear during class!
The hope is to bring awareness to how powerful our thoughts and attitude are everyday! Lets be positive and grateful throughout the day and let that spread throughout not only CFBG but into our city!
..The complaint-free bracelet rules…
So, here are the rules once you get your blue or green no-complaining bracelet on your wrist:
If you catch yourself complaining, you take [the bracelet] and you move it to the other wrist, the idea is to ultimately keep it (on the same wrist) for 21 days (to help form the habit)!
No gossiping, either!
Pay attention to how you’re speaking. If you say, “Oh, my leg hurts,” that might just be a statement of fact. But if you’re droning on about the pain in your calf, that’s probably a complaint.
If you want to know the difference between a comment and a complaint, pay attention to your feelings about the issue.
Definitions of Complaining:
*describing an event or person negatively without indicating next steps to fix the problem.
*express dissatisfaction or annoyance about a state of affairs or an event
*making a mournful sound
Thankful Tuesdays! We will be asking you to add some form of thankfulness and gratitude to your wodify comments!
Let’s have fun building each other up as we go into a month full of thankfulness, family, and of course health and fitness!
