What is CrossFit Bluegrass?
CrossFit Bluegrass (CFBG) is a fitness revolution happening right here in Louisville! CFBG is where you go when you want to succeed, reaching new heights in personal fitness and overall health. Don’t be misled in thinking that CrossFit is not for you, Our program is for everyone! Whether you have a background in fitness or have never walked into a gym, no matter your age, our workouts will be tailored just for you.
Is there a difference between Boot Camp and CrossFit?
Yes! CrossFit will keep you coming back for more! Most bootcamps consist of a few different workouts that are cycled through which lead to a plateau. CrossFit workouts are purposely varied to keep your body from becoming accustomed to any one training aspect. The CrossFit methods will have you achieving greater gains in stamina, energy, strength and fat burning than your average bootcamp class.
Is CrossFit Bluegrass only for serious athletes?
Absolutely not!!! CrossFit is designed to meet the individual where they are when they walk in the door. At CFBG, although each class has many different people looking to achieve their own individual goals, the workouts are designed to encourage everyone to achieve these goals in a group setting. Each workout is modified and scaled to your abilities and needs! So, it doesn’t matter if you want to compete against yourself, the clock or with the other people in class, we will be there cheering for you as you reach your next level of fitness.
How intense are classes?
There’s no reason to be worried. Classes are designed to be scaled and modified for any fitness level. Each member that is new to CrossFit is required to go through our Roots course. During the Roots course you will learn the basic CrossFit movements as well as how to scale and modify movements based on your individual skills and abilities. Our skilled coaches are also trained to help you scale and modify, to your fitness level, during classes.
Do you allow drop-ins for out of town guests?
We would love for you to drop in! Just send us a short email to let us know you’re coming, we will respond quickly with details, plan on arriving at class 15 minutes early to complete a bit of paperwork.
What can I expect at CrossFit Bluegrass?
At the end of the workout, you will be completely exhausted, but you’ll feel great that you completed it. You’ll soon learn that the only way to get real results is to earn them. You can expect our trainers and athletes to provide the motivation and encouragement you need to finish your workout and in turn, earn your results. Who are CrossFit Bluegrass’ coaches and what are their qualifications?
All of our coaches are CrossFit level 1 certified with varied backgrounds in sports, fitness and nutrition. Most of our coaches are not only CrossFit certified, but also hold certifications in other branches of fitness which leads to a well-rounded trainer. They also have a love and passion for CrossFit and for helping others get fit! Our trainers want you to succeed. Please feel free to approach any of our staff with any questions you might have!.
