Chris Thompson
Coach
Chris is a husband and father of three awesome kids. He has always been into anything athletic and physically challenging in nature. Like most people he played a variety of sports growing up and after all that ended he still missed the competitive environment. Chris found Crossfit through a coworker about 4 years ago where he was introduced to the hero WOD, “Filthy Fifty”. It was all he knew of Crossfit so true to his determined mindset he did it everyday for a month. As time passed he progressed and fell in love with the sport of CrossFit. Then obtained his Level 1 trainer certificate in May 2010 at Crossfit Maximus. Since then Chris has been telling anyone who would listen and coach anyone that was willing to work.
Being a firefighter since 1999 and a Captain since January 2010, he is assigned to Engine 10, Chris understands the importance of being prepared for the unknown and unknowable and how much easier CrossFit can make it. Not to mention Crossfit allows Chris to keep his competitive juices flowing, even if it is just competition against the clock at the box.
