As many of you probably know, we’re gearing up to start our Nutrition Challenge Monday, February 18! I wanted to give everyone a quick run down of what the challenge will look like. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] with any and all questions 🙂
2 Person Teams!
Cost: $35 for members/ $50 for non-members
Start Date: Monday, Feb. 18
Last Day: Sunday, March 17 (4 weeks total)
Nutrition Guidelines: Paleo!
What to Eat: Meat, Veggies, Fruit, Nuts and Seeds, Healthy Fats, Natural Sweeteners (Honey, 100% Maple Syrup, Agave, etc)
What to Avoid: Grains, Dairy, Legumes, Sugar (white sugar and artificial), Alcohol
Fitness Challenges: Each week, we will announce a “WOD” to be completed by the following Sunday with scores submitted. You and your partner will each complete the WOD and submit your total score. The team with the winning score each week will win some sweet swag!
Weekly Points: Each day you can earn points by making healthy improvements to your lifestyle (outside of nutrition).
Earn 1 point for drinking half your body weight in ounces of water
Earn 1 point each day for sleeping at least 7 hours
Earn 1 point each day for staying Paleo compliant
Earn 1 point per day for working out (at Bluegrass or elsewhere)
Earn 1 point per week for meal planning/prepping
Earn 3 points per week for completing fitness challenge (even if you don’t win).
Finally, at the end of the 4 weeks, your team will earn 1 point for every body weight % you’ve lost.
A 100lbs person lost 4 pounds, that would be 4% of their body weight earning them 4 points
A 200lbs person lost 3 pounds, that would be 2% of their body weight earning them 2 points.
Attached is the scoring/tracking sheet for the challenge. At the end of the challenge you will submit this to be in the running to win:
